Because of that, we’re excited to now offer a new, expanded version of care for your children whenever our office is closed. Dr. Hastings is now teaming up with Montana Pediatrics’ network of statewide pediatric providers who together are available every evening and weekend to provide you with high-quality, low-cost pediatric urgent care right from home.

How it works
Sign up for an account
1. Go to the Montana Pediatrics portal
2. Follow the on-screen steps to complete your account and add your child
3. Be sure to add Dr. Hastings as your child’s PCP! If you ever need an after-hours visit, our office will receive the notes and will handle all of the follow-up care if needed!
Request a visit
1. Log into your account when your child needs care and click “Request A Visit” next to your child’s name
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the telemedicine consent forms, share a few details about your concerns, and ensure your device’s camera and microphone are working
3. You’ll be connected with a Montana-based pediatric provider we trust (you might even get Dr. Hastings!) shortly. The average wait time is less than 5 minutes.

When should I use a Montana Pediatrics After Hours visit?
If your child is experiencing a true medical emergency, call 911. Otherwise, most non-emergent needs can be resolved with an after-hours visit. Common concerns include fevers, sore throats, stomach aches, rashes, RSV, COVID, Influenza, Hand Foot and Mouth, ear infections, Conjunctivitis, sinus infections, skin conditions, and more.

Dr. Hastings participates in Montana Pediatrics! That means you can access him on the evenings and weekends when he in on call. When Dr. Hastings isn’t on call, a Montana-based pediatric provider he trusts will be there to help your child feel better and put you at ease. How much does a visit cost?
If you choose to use insurance for your visit, Montana Pediatrics will bill it first, then your amount due will depend on your individual policy. If you choose not to use insurance, an uncomplicated visit is usually around $75. We all believe you should never hesitate to seek care due to concerns about cost.
